CitexNode is meant to work for everyone: with a screen reader, keyboard only, heavy magnification or less motion. This page says where we stand, what is still missing and how to tell us about a barrier.
Scope and legal basis
This statement covers citexnode.com including the customer area (dashboard) and the guides at docs.citexnode.com.
The basis is the German Accessibility Strengthening Act (Barrierefreiheitsstärkungsgesetz, BFSG) with its regulation (BFSGV), in force for services in electronic commerce since 28 June 2025. The benchmark is the European standard EN 301 549 and with it WCAG 2.1 level AA.
Compliance status
The website is partially compliant with the requirements. The content listed in the next section is not yet accessible or only in part; everything else has been checked.
- Every function can be reached with the keyboard. A skip link leads straight to the content and focus is always visible.
- Headings, landmarks, form labels and alternative texts are in place for screen readers; decorative icons are hidden from them.
- Text can be enlarged to 200 % and the layout adapts. Font sizes are relative and browser zoom keeps working.
- Contrast meets level AA in both colour schemes. Light and dark are switched at the top right.
- Links inside running text are underlined, and form errors are given as text, not only as colour.
- Animations stay still when your system asks for less motion (prefers-reduced-motion).
- Every page declares its language; German and English can be switched.
- The “Withdraw contract” button and the cart work with the keyboard and are named as regions of their own.
Content that is not accessible
These parts do not fully meet the requirements yet. Where there is one, we name another way.
- The captcha (Cloudflare Turnstile) on sign-in, registration and ordering comes from a third party. It usually passes without a task, but it is not in our hands.
- The screen console of a KVM or cloud server (noVNC) is a video stream and cannot be used with a screen reader. Access over SSH is the alternative.
- The live console of game servers and the file editor are text-based, but new output is not announced as a status message.
- Traffic and load charts show the numbers next to them but have no text alternative for every data point.
- Invoices for download are not yet tagged as accessible PDFs. The same details are in the dashboard under Credits.
- The payment pages of Stripe and PayPal, the status page and Trustpilot are third-party services with statements of their own.
How this statement was prepared
This statement rests on a self-assessment of 14 September 2026: automated checks with axe-core (WCAG 2.1 AA) of the public pages, the product pages and the forms in both colour schemes, plus manual keyboard operation. The customer area is re-checked continuously.
